DIY: Embellished Lace Tights

During the Fall RTW fashion week in New York, I fell in love with the crystal encrusted lace tights that strutted down the Doo.Ri runway (shown above). Since then I've been trying to find the time to breakout my trim box and sewing needles and embellish my own lace tights. For further inspiration I came across a wonderful DIY tutorial at Park & Cube (their version shown below), so now I'm really ready to get started!
Go to Park & Cube for the complete tutorial.

Barbie In Paris

Barbie and Baptiste Giabiconi First, Barbie celebrated her 50th year anniversary with a runway show during New York's Fashion Week. Now she's hanging out with the likes of Karl Lagerfeld in an exhibition at Colette in Paris. Styled and photographed by Karl, she poses with model Baptiste Giabiconi as Ken. This exhibition will be in the gallery from March 9th- 28th. On March 12th the very first Barbie and Ken doll will be posing in the boutique window displays. Barbie sure knows how to celebrate!

Is 60 Minutes Getting Stylish?

HA HA! Had to share this awesome photo of Anna Wintour, Morley Safer and Blake Lively at the Ralph Lauren show. Mr. Safer does look pretty stylish in that pink shirt and pocket square. (thanks Daily Intel!)

Trends To Watch: Gothic Accessories

The Doo.Ri Fall 2009 Ready to Wear collection was absolutely beautiful. Her draped jersey dresses and ruffled tops were accessorized with haunting gothic touches. As shown above the models walked down the runway with crystal encrusted lace stockings, grey violet lipstick, and hairy handbags. The handbag should have had it's own comb like the one I found at last December's BUST Craftacular (shown below). That would have completed the look.
